Dry Herb Vapes Vs Disposables: Which Is Supreme

Dry Herb Vapes Vs Disposables: Which Is Supreme

Love it or hate it, vaping is here to stay. The vaping industry is said to be worth about £1.7 billion Pounds and $22.4 billion Dollars. With that sort of money being funneled in there is no chance of vapes going anywhere anytime soon. The good news is that, as technology improves, so do the quality and variety of vapes available to us.

Today we are going to be putting disposable vapes against dry herb vapes. We will be focusing on their use for consuming THC and CBD. We will look at various factors such as efficiency, discretion and cost. By the end we will have finally answered the question of which type of vape is supreme!

Dry Herb Vapes

So what exactly is a dry herb vape? It is definitely one of the lesser known vaporizer types out there. A dry herb vape, as the name suggests, is a vape that uses plant matter rather than e-liquid. Each dry herb vape is fitted with a small compartment, often made of ceramic, that functions like a small oven. It slowly cooks the herb inside, creating vapor, which is then consumed by the user.

Disposable Vapes

You might not know that vapes started their life cycle as disposable products. Designed to help people kick their smoking habits. It wasn’t until a few years after their introduction that we saw the release of e-liquids and refillable vapes.

Modern disposable vapes aren’t focused on helping people quit smoking. Rather they are an industry all their own. As the name suggests a disposable vape is designed to be thrown away after they have run out.

Efficiency

When it comes to consuming THC or CBD with a vape there are benefits to both models. A dry herb vape allows a far greater degree of control over what effects you get from your plant matter. The temperature at which THC or CBD plant is burned changes the chemicals released and, consequently, the high you get. A lower temperature will give you more body effects without the psychoactive ones. A higher temp will release more of the psychoactive elements.

A disposable CBD vape is extremely effective at delivering a high dose of CBD. This makes them ideal if you want a quick hit. But, disposable THC vapes can often be unreliable. Since they make use of THC oil some of them can be extremely strong. While others might be too weak to create any lasting effects.

Discretion

One of the biggest issues with THC is the smell of the plant. It has quite a pungent and unique aroma. Especially when smoked. And the cause of cannabis’ unique aroma is due to an oily chemical called terpenes. This is why smoking cannabis creates such a strong smell. But how discrete are the vapes?

Disposable vapes are, generally, extremely discreet. Since they are using oil the smell produced is almost non-existent. Some of the stronger vapes will produce a weak smell. But it isn’t the same smell as burnt cannabis. So people often won’t know what you are consuming. Some disposable THC vapes are also flavored, which further masks the smell.

Dry herb vapes are less discreet than a disposable vape, but still far more discreet than smoking. They do produce a smell while they are cooking the cannabis plant. But, due to it being a slower process than burning, the smell is more aromatic. Unless people are avid dry herb vape users themselves they likely won’t know what you are burning. Dry herb vapes are often a lot bigger than disposable vapes though. So are far less discreet in that regard.

Cost

You might think that disposable THC or CBD vapes are cheaper simply because a good dry herb vape can cost a lot to buy. But you have to consider the long term cost. Once you have a dry herb vape you only have to buy more THC or CBD plants. Dry herb vapes will also make your stash last longer. Whereas the cost of a good disposable vape is paid over and over again. In the long run a dry herb vape is always going to be cheaper.

As you can see there are advantages and disadvantages to both types of vape. But, in our opinion, there is no contest. Dry herb vapes are the supreme choice when it comes to consuming THC and CBD.
